Widget stopped working overnight!
My remote url widget stopped working. If I create a new widget with the same remote URL it works fine so I know the remote page is working fine. The widget is http://www.widgetbox.com/widget/daily... and the remote URL is http://www.zachgraeve.com/marketing-t... (which works fine).

Hi Zach,
Did you recently change your widget to use dynamic size? If so, please make sure to follow the guidelines here:
http://docs.widgetbox.com/developers/...
See specifically the instructions "If your widget is a Web Page widget, make sure you put the Widgetbox Javascript in your page." We're not seeing the Widgetbox Javascript on your PHP page.
Maybe you wanted to hide the widget dimensions, instead? You can uncheck the size dynamically checkbox and choose to hide the widget dimensions, then 'Publish Changes'.
Thanks! Let me know if you have anymore questions/problems.

Inappropriate?Anyone? This seems to be a glitch in the WidgetBox site. I can create a new, identical, widget using the same remote URL - but then I would loose all the people that installed the first ap.
It seems like WidgetBox wants to create a flash ap out of my remote (PHP) URL. It may be a simple database error in my account. I need a WidgetBox employee to take a look at this.
I’m annoyed

Inappropriate?Actually... It is still not working in the Gallery or on installed sites:
http://www.widgetbox.com/widget/daily...
Does it take a while before changes make it into the gallery and to live installations?
I’m unsure...

Inappropriate?Hi Zach,
You have auto scroll set to true (which is also not necessary for your widget). This also requires you to include the Widgetbox JS on your PHP page. Disabling auto scroll renders your widget.
Thanks! -
Inappropriate?I don't understand what is going on here.
I turned off auto scroll and dynamic sizing as you said. Then placed the widget in a div with scrolling set to auto and assigned a height to the div. The widget now shows up fine in the edit screen but still does not show up in the gallery or installed on websites.
Is there some kind of delay before changes go to the gallery?
I’m getting closer!

Inappropriate?Hi Zach, did you click to 'Publish Changes' after making your changes?
-
Inappropriate?About a hundred times or so ;)

Inappropriate?Still is not working in the gallery or installed sites. Despite the fact that the widget works fine from the widget settings page.
Here is the gallery page and you can see it is still not showing up:
http://www.widgetbox.com/widget/daily...
What is going on here?

Inappropriate? So I figured out the problem... For some reason I cannot get the changes to commit and publish. I created a new test ap to see if I would have similar problems and I had no issues.
Then I saw the link under the edit button that states if there are unpublished changes... That is the problem. For some reason I cannot get my widget to publish the changes no matter what I do. I tried clearing my cache, deleting cookies, different browsers, logging out and then back in... Nothing is working.
I don't know what else to do. I have pressed "publish changes" hundreds of times with no results. Can someone look into this please. -
Inappropriate?Echo... Echo... Echo...
Anyone available to help? No matter what I try I cannot get my changes to commit when I hit the "Publish Changes" button. I have now even tried different computers.
Can someone please look into this?
I’m going insane here...

Inappropriate?Hi Zach,
We are looking into what might be causing your issue.
Thanks. -
Inappropriate?Any luck? It looks like I still can't commit the changes.
I have a feeling this was the problem all along. I think in trying to get it to save (not yet realizing that was the issue) I played around with the sizing settings and made the issue harder to decipher. Don't know if that helps you to solve the problem or not, but I do have a feeling that I have been unable to save changes this whole time.

Inappropriate?Wow this must be bad! Still no reply and still no way to commit my changes.
Would love to have my widget back up and running someday!

Inappropriate?Hi Zach,
We are still looking into your issue. We will let you know when we have found what might be causing the problem.
Thanks! -
Inappropriate?Hi Zach,
We've resolved the issue and you should be able to 'Publish Changes' now on your widget. Additionally, you should be able to use the scroll automatically feature. Please let us know if you have any more issues.
Thanks! -
Inappropriate?Excellent... Well done guys. Thanks for getting this issue figured out. Hopefully my problem helped identify and solve any deeper rooted issues.
Thanks again!
I’m thankful
