What happens during a long Maintenance at widgetbox.com?
Hi I've noticed once that when there's a downtime at widgetbox.com, all the widgets shut down. If you're going to do a long Maintenance, will you email the developers about it because I make good use of these widgets on my site. If I know ahead of time something like this will happen, I can make the swap to the original file.
Although a better idea would be that when you need to shut the widgets down, this site can automatically somehow switch to the original file. I don't know how that would be done on your end, but what do you guys think?

Hi there,
When we do have downtime, Syndication and the Gallery are completely separate. Generally, if you see a downtime message, it means the gallery is down. If you see Widgetbox.com AND widgets down, that would most likely be your ISP.
This was seen recently with the Sprint ban that resulted in many ISP's not being able to see each other for about 24 hours.

Inappropriate?Where would the downtime message be posted? Is it emailed to the developer? Can you please send me the link of where this would be if it should happen? And do you generally notify the developers ahead of time in that downtime message?

Inappropriate? The page is posted at Widgetbox... No, we do not SPAM our hundreds of thousands of developers if there's going to be 2 minutes of downtime.

A number of top end ISPs create an "outage RSS feed" solely for this purpose. That way it is an opt-in feature. A special twitter feed for the same purpose is also provided by some hosting providers. -
I'm aware. You're welcome to make a feed of status.widgetbox.com. -
Inappropriate?alright thanks!
