Viral installer how to?
Could anyone guide me how to make viral installer code for my widget because I went to this page: http://docs.widgetbox.com/developers/... but couldn't figure out step
2- On Widgetbox.com, create a new hosted widget with a single configuration parameter called
RemoteParam1. Of course, you can have multiple config parameters (i.e. RemoteParam2 ... RemoteParamN) as necessary. We’ll just keep it simple for now.
Could any one help me with this step telling me in more simple detail how to do this (I'm relatively new)

Inappropriate?Fiznali,
What part are you getting lost on? Making a remote widget? Adding a config param?
The Remote configuration setup is not for beginners. If you're just looking for viral installer code, go to MY WIDGETBOX, click on the widget name, and click DISTRIBUTE YOUR WIDGET to get the code snippet for the Viral Installer.

Dave,
I've tried exactly what you described. Version 1 of my widget worked fine, but Version 2 has issues. Please take a look here and please inform me of what I'm doing wrong. Do I need to recreated the widget? Add a config param?
Many thanks in advance!

Oops... take a look here: http://cjpolitzki.feedback.googlepage... Thanks! -
Hey Chris,
Sorry if my memory is a little foggy, but what are you trying to do here again? I took a look at the page below, and both of the widgets seemed to be working OK. -
Dave,
I'm trying to get the 'Get Widget' button to react the same way in both widgets. Version 1 is the preferred method. trying to get the 'Get Widget Installer Menu' (is that what it's called now?) to work so that this thing becomes more viral.
Thanks,
Chris -
Ohhh, gotcha Chris! Easy stuff. Widget 2 has a config param on it. It looks like maybe you added it accidentally, as I don't believe that it's used. Just go into the editor, delete that config param, and publish changes and your Get Widget menu will work like the other one! -
Dave,
Awesome! That was it! Works great now!
Thanks,
Chris
