To High; Was Good
I'm getting rid of my widgets. Most aren't present on my blog anyway for various reason. I'm sick of companies charging fees that really really are high. If companies would be more reasonable with their fees they would make more money. My blog is with Typepad. I pay $4.99 a month for it, and I'm to pay $3.99/mth not to have an ad on it?

Inappropriate?I pay $14.95/mo for Typepad and $3.99 for Widgetbox.
Both are a bargain considering all I can do with them...
ymmv, of course. -
Inappropriate?Hey Brenda,
It's actually quite a bit more than just not ads. And the price comes out to about $.08 per day. It's not for everyone, so if you're paying for your blog already and don't want widgets enough to pay, then you can certainly either use them with ads or not use them.
Regardless, thanks for the feedback. All the best,
Dave

Inappropriate?I was using Typepad and Widgetbox to do all I needed them to do. I only needed one Widget on my site, and I only need one blog. I am not going to pay nearly as much for the Widget as I play for the blog. I'm sure it's a good deal if you are a super-user, but for someone who does not need a lot of bells and whistles it's high. I took the Widget off of my blog.

Inappropriate? Not a problem Brenda. Like I said, there are bound to be a few users that can't have ads but aren't willing to pay for the service. Unfortunately, it does cost money to provide the service.
All the best,
Dave

Inappropriate?I know it costs money to provide the service, but perhaps you could also charge by the widget. I'm not going to pay $3.99/mth for one widget.

Inappropriate? Thanks for the suggestion, Brenda. We're always considering other price points, so we'll certainly keep this in mind.
