Stuck in widgetville
I'm not able to get the links to work on my webpage widget -- see installed at http://relevantwords.com
I posted the code into the widget but it won't save.
Also, can a webpage widget be built in flash?
Sorry, I'm stuck! Thanks for your help -- Viktorya

Inappropriate?Hey Vikto,
So, when we display your webpage widget, we're displaying an iframe. That means that if you want links to open in the parent window, you'll have to target _parent in your links. What you're seeing now is that you're pointing your webpage widget to a page that isn't really built to be a widget. So the links are working, just not the way that you would want them to work in a widget.
Yes, a web page widget can be built in flash. You can also submit that as a FLASH widget, which will give you some added install options when you're done (like Myspace and other sites that only allow Flash).

Hi Dave - Thanks! What I didn't 'read' is I'm trying to make a web page widget from a full web site. That doesn't work, yes? It has to be a web page and not a full website? Cheers! -
Inappropriate?Vitko,
Although it's technically possible to iframe in a full website, it makes it fairly useless as a widget. The website itself would then have to be modified significantly. Generally, your more useful webpage widgets consist of a page that has content designed for use within a widget.
