Win/FF: great
Win/IE: notice white background showing on top rounded corners
Ubuntu/FF: notice corners are ok, but "Get Widget" has annoying white background
Anything can be done about it?

Inappropriate?Well we can rule out Ubuntu FF, as it's not a supported platform at this point.
As for the Windows IE issue, you're using a PNG in your PHP. IE6 doesn't support PNG transparency, so you'll need to do some conditional IE styling to swap that out for a GIF.

OK, well you may want to fix that for IE6 as well then.
Have you tried setting style background-color: transparent on the body of your PHP?
I'd like to try this myself before throwing out suggestions, but it looks like maybe you turned off rounded corners already, as I don't see them in any browser.
