Refresh widget button

I also found out that the from the "get widget" at the bottom of the widget it self, and I've checked it in facebook, doesn't pass the query params. Can you help me with that too? Thanks.

It looks like everything is working normally. Updating the Feed URL field on widgetbox refreshes the widget as well, a few seconds after you stop typing.

I don't know what you mean by the 'GET WIDGET' not passing query string params. It never does. We do that all in the backend.

Everything in your widget looks to be working properly, although I could test your implemented preview, since i don't have a feed URL to enter.

(that part is great by the way), I clicked the link 'get widget' and it took me to my-widget-takeslidescom and not .....takeslides?etc, so I didn't get to see the slideshow, I was hoping to see.

So you're saying that you'd expect that when you click GET WIDGET, that you'd get the already-configured widget that you built, instead of a blank widget that needs to be configured still?

I can change this manually for you, but if you edit the widget and publish changes, it will revert back, as widgets with config params require the users to configure the widget, rather than just giving the user clicking the Get Widget button a copy of the same configured widget.

Yes that's the way I'd like it to work.
But just to make sure, it shouldn't be instead of letting the user config params, in the widget page at widgetbox. It should be just a link to the configured widget he saw and liked, instead of to the default one. Same way like I send them from my site with the actual params to widgetbox.
I'm sure I will have to make some changes in my widget from time to time, so I don't know what to say.

No, this is not how it works. Either the Get Widget button takes them to a fresh widget (where you can set the default configs), or it just opens the menu and allows them to take this configured widget.

Ok, I like the second option VERY much. If they click 'get widget' they get the code.
So can you set it up for me?

Sure thing! It's all done. If you modify the widget, it may revert back to the way that it was, but for you, if users see your configured widget, they'll install the same copy. If they want to change their feed, they can just click the pencil on their newly-installed widget to modify the settings.

One different question, i have a few flashvars I'm not using. If I want to add them, I just need to add them to the viral link, and widgetbox will "use" them, right?

Yeah, if you see the behavior change, just post here.

As for the flashvars, you'll need to add them as hidden config params if you want to be able to use them.
