Poll widget broken
I have a pro polling widget and am getting the message "unable to display results at this time" after people vote.

Inappropriate?Hi Nick,
This should be all fixed now. You've got a TON of votes in there (nice work), so we were timing out. Thanks for pointing out the issue.

is there a max on the number of votes? Also, is there a way to just show percentages or completely hide the results? I couldn't find info on that. Thanks in advance. -
Hi Nick,
No, there is no current max. Currently, there's no way to hide the results altogether. The only option in relation to results is to only show results once they've voted, or to always show the 'show results' button. -
Inappropriate?I have used up 2 of my Pro account credits trying to make a poll for my site and each time I go through the creation process and go to get the code I get this error "Certain settings are disabled. Create a new poll to modify the question or existing answers." However, there is absolutely no indication as to what those "certain settings" are and each time I go back, edit, try shortening questions and answers, add or eliminate the picture at top...no matter what, I still get this warning and my widget does not display results on the site when View Results is clicked on. I went in and voted one time myself and it didn't show up either in the widget itself or here on the site in my account results section.
I'm kinda frustrated. Any ideas? -
Inappropriate?Tracy,
You cannot edit a Poll results at all once the poll is started. That means changing anything about the answers is not permitted, so you'd want to make new answers instead. This is for tracking purposes.
Also, you can get your Pro credits back easily if you don't like a widget. Just delete the widget and you'll get your credit back. Alternatively, flipping a widget back to Pro will return your credit.

Inappropriate? Thanks, Dave. I actually didn't just change answers, I created new polls. And no matter what I still got the same error message. Can you help me understand what "certain settings" are disables so I know what NOT to do next time?
Thanks for the info about the credits. I'll go delete my existing polls and try yet again...

Inappropriate? The settings that are disabled are anything involving setting the result text. Once you create a poll, you can't change the answer. That's all that the message is telling you. It's not an error message, but an informational message that's always displayed on an existing poll.
-
Inappropriate? Thanks, Dave. I see that I seem to be getting results here on the site, even if they aren't displayed on the individual widgets on the website pages.
-
Inappropriate?Sorry Tracy, but I'm not following your last comment. Are you saying that the results of your poll are appearing on the site, but not within the widget? If so, please post a link to your widget.

Inappropriate? It seems to be working now. Thanks, Dave. Maybe deleting the other ones made a difference. I don't know...
