After importing a google gadget with OpenSocial 0.7 required, I get "your widget requires libraries not supported: openSocial 0.7, ..." hints? 0.8 only? some other means of converting?

Inappropriate?You'll need to replace google libraries with alternative methods. You get some for free just by it being a widget. No external libraries can be supported. The process is that you're making your gadget a widget, so you need to get all of those dependancies on gadget libraries out.
