How does one become a "Top Member" within a Widgetbox Blog Network channel?
I see "Recent Posts" , "Top Posts" and "Top Members" in each Widgetbox Blog Network channel. I'm curious how one becomes a "Top Member", since I see in the Fashion Network, some Top Members have zero or very few posts. Is this a paid placement?

Inappropriate?Hi there,
No, there is no paid placement in the Top Members module. It is based on an algorithm that takes into consideration a new member's lack of posts data thusfar as well as the number of impressions that their blog is getting.
Anyhow, the winning combination is posts #, post frequency, and hits.

Inappropriate?Personally, I don't think that the number of posts should have much effect upon rank at all - after all, I've seen some who are the "Top Member"s in their respective channels simply because of the sheer number of their posts; irrespective of quality or popularity. Someone who posts garbage that no one wants to read 8 times a day shouldn't rank higher than someone who posts once-a-week and is genuinely popular.
Just throwin' in my two cents!
I’m puzzled

Inappropriate?Matthew,
Thanks for the feedback. Those people who you see at the top of the list is not due to the number of posts, however. Site traffic is most likely why they're getting up there.

Inappropriate?I was curious about that too, as I am a recent member, with only 18 posts since I joined this network, but I am on top 4!!! What a booster of self-confidence (I feel smug!)
