Do widgetboxes support cookies?
In Safari and some other browsers, iframes cannot set cross domain cookies... how do widgetboxes deal with this issue in terms of persistence of session data?

Inappropriate?Hey there,
All the traditional iframe rules apply, as your widget (unless flash) will be displayed in an iframe. If you're a flash widget, you could use a flash shared object to persist data.
If you're referring to things like widget settings (height, configuration, etc.), that's part of what we do.
Hope this helps!

Inappropriate?Ah, I meant the first part more so... cookies cannot be relied on for keeping user state and keeping users "logged in" to your widget, right? Users will have to log in every time the user reloads the page?
I’m undecided

Inappropriate?Well, possibly. The flash shared object thing is magic, so still look there if you can. Also, if you just need the user of a widget to stay logged in, you may be able to use Config Params to do that, depending on what your security is like.
Sorry to not be more specific, but I haven't figured out your specific use-case yet.

Inappropriate?Hello Dave,
Could you point me to further discussion on config params.
I would like a better understanding of storing client unique values and how they are retreived and set.
Thanks,
Gaver

Hey Gaver,
Try this: http://docs.widgetbox.com/developers/...
Most config param (aka Widget Settings) info is in the HTML/JS and Flash docs:

Hope this helps!
