Inappropriate?The short answer is that any developer making a widget claims ownership of the content. If they turn out not to own the content, the copyright owner will follow DMCA and request that we remove it from the site, which we do. You'll be fine.
Now, if you're referring to making a widget from copyrighted content that you don't own, that's another story.
