Can't get any widgets - I must've done something!
When I click "get widget" or the symbol for Blogger nothing happens - the page just stays blank - what did I do? Did I block something? How do I unblock it? (I did have K9 installed, but took it off - could that be it?)

Inappropriate?Hey Geni,
Sounds like maybe you're either blocking or don't have Flash installed. I don't really know anything about K9, but you could double-check that you have flash installed on adobe.com

Inappropriate?I'm getting reports from a colleague that when he clicks on the Get Widget button, the semi-transparent white overlay layer appears in the browser, but the box with all of the sharing options does not appear in the center of the window. He reports that he was using IE6, but in the past he has used IE7 so it might be that one.
I tested it on IE6, IE7, and several other Windows and Mac browsers but never ran into this issue. Do you have any ideas what could cause this problem on only some instances of IE?
This issue relates to the blidget named KSEG Eagle 96.9 Blogs.
I very much like your service so far and I hope we can use it. Thanks much for any suggestions you can give! -
Hey Danom,
Yeah, this is an easy one. It's guranteed to be one of two things:
Either he doesn't have Flash installed (or at least a compatible version) or he has some Javascript security settings up a bit high. Either IE is notorious for the Javascript settings. Since the blidget's Flash, if he can see that, I'd dig into those security settings.
Hope this helps! -
Inappropriate? Thanks Dave! I'll pass along this info to my colleague!

Inappropriate?Edit: So, based on the developer documentation, the viewer needs Flash Player 9 or later. Will any release of Flash Player 9 work?
Also, do you happen to know off hand which JavaScript security settings in IE are problematic? I'll try to find them, too, but if you happen to have specific suggestions that would be a huge help!
Thanks,

Inappropriate?Hey Dan,
We generally say 'the latest', but anything 9r115 or later should be good to go.
As for security settings, what works best for me is just setting the overall security settings in IE to Low or Custom. Look for anything about Javascript.
