blank page in internet explorer
I have a widget installed and it appears on my web page just fine. Firefox works OK, but from IE 8, when I click on a feed from within the widget the feed opens in a new window but the web page that the widget was on goes blank and the URL bar reads "about:blank"
So at the same time it open the feed in a new window it is redirecting the current page to "about:blank"
Any ideas???

Inappropriate?Hey Steve,
Although IE8 is not a supported browser, it sounds like this may be a javascript setting in IE8. As we don't yet support it, I don't know the settings well enough to tell you exactly what to change, but take a look at your Javascript and script access security settings in IE8 and try lowering them for better results.

Dave, I appreciate the reply. However, although this is a browser issue, I can click on many other links in IE8 that open up into new windows. They all work fine.
Is there any way you could disect and send me the exact way the feed link is opening to a new window? There is something funky going on.
It is not just a (target="_blank" or javascript:window.open). If that were the case it would work.
Thank you! -
Steve,
This is a flash file opening a browser window. Explaining all the details of how flash opens a window in a browser would be a better question for Adobe. In the end, the resoltion will be the same as mentioned above.
Additionally, as I mentioned, IE8 is not a supported browser. -
Dave,
Again, I appreceiate the quick reply. So I guess the real question is: When do you expect IE 8 will be supported? The version has been around for a good while now.
Thanks! -
Steve,
I don't have an ETA yet, other than soon. We base browser support on top browsers used with Widgetbox. IE8 is almost there to replace IE6.
