Amazon Associate-ID sent on Header, but not Detail/Item
here's a simple test widget - it simply does not work like it should. It only sends the associate-ID if you click on the top bar link. It does not send the associate-ID if you click on one of the feed items - i.e Book;

This is based on an Amazon RSS feed. According to Amazon, it is working properly (on their end).
Thanks for any help, I tried everything I could think of..
(I am re-posting this to the proper thread - report a problem - thx - please help)

Inappropriate? Can you repost the widget link again, it seems to have got cut when you reposted it.
I’m happy

Inappropriate? This looks to be an issue with how we handle feeds like this. We're looking into how to fix it and we'll get back to you when we have a solution.
-
That's good to know. For once (lol), it's not 'just me'. Hope you pinpoint it soon, I have some good widgets to release....
(after this is resolved) Is there a way to implement a drop-down box for another user to input their own ID? Or any other method to allow it to be changed by another user? -
Interesting...FYI...For test purposes, I set up a feedburner feed for the same as I use in widgetbox. I then used the output from the feedburner feed in widgetbox - and THAT WORKS CORRECTLY! It appears widgetbox still adds a few extra 'ref...' chars, but it DOES tack on the ID at the end.

This is a kludge (band-aid) solution, but perhaps it will help track down the problem... -
Would there be anything wrong with using the workaround that I found until the issue is resolved?
I'm anxious to get these working correctly on my site...Thanks. -
Bump...
Any answers?...any Idea how long this may take? Should I use my 'workaround'? -
It appears this may be fixed. Did you do it? If so, Thank you VERY much! If you didn't do it, Thanks, also.
Now that it appears to be working correctly, I will need to edit some of my existing widgets (and then wait a day for the stats) to be sure...
THANK YOU! (or whoever/whatever fixed it...) -
Inappropriate?Hi Suggestor,
Yes, sorry! We meant to reply sooner, but we identified the problem and pushed a fix earlier this week. Glad to hear that it looks like its been resolved.
Thanks!

Yes, this is Fixed! THANK YOU VERY MUCH!
p.s. Amazon tracks 'unique hits' differently than you (by a factor of 20x more or so?...). Some differences are to be expected...will do more testing...(i.e. get ready - is YOUR unique hits counter working correctly?)...but that will be a ways' away - right now I have to finish some widgets!
Thanks again! -
Inappropriate?Great, good to hear. We haven't heard of any problems with our unique hits counter, but we'll keep an eye out. Thanks!
