Hi, in the old forum, there used to be a place for people to ask for development help and hire developers to develop widgets.

where is it now?

I removed the staging settings on my widget.
It looks better now. but the bottom part of the flash-based widget is half-hidden.

As you can see, the flash-code one at the bottomshows up too small.
It occurs in both IE and Firefox.

Any update?

I am not happy with Clearspring as my widget cannot be sized appropriately there.

I am not happy Gigya as users cannot configure my widget.

I really really would like to distribute my widget on widgetbox as it's most user-friendly to me,and to my users!

I turned down my IE 7 security level to medium. same problem.
I asked my friends to turned down their IE 7 security level to medium. same problem.

I tried the same widget with clearspring. It works on IE. see http://www.clearspring.com/widgets/48...

the widget itself needs to load a xml configuration file from the server.

When I used Fiddler(http://www.fiddlertool.com/fiddler/) to inspect page, the one(http://www.clearspring.com/widgets/48... ) hosted by clearspring makes a request to load the configuration file. On the other hand, the one(http://www.voicememe.com/test_widget....) hosted by widgetbox DOESN'T make the request to load the configuration file.

so I do think this is a widgetbox bug.

It works in IE 6.
I have 3 users reporting the issue on IE 7.

One user got a script error when viewing http://www.voicememe.com/test_widget....


For my IE 7.0.5730.13, the widget message is always 'loading'. I don't get any error popup even I enable IE to show script errors.

same problem when I view http://www.widgetbox.com/dash/dev/wid... in IE 7.

I need to let them customize the widget( customizing the size in this case).

I suggest to add a feature to have a special preview URL for any user to customize the widget.

yes.
I got the error when I hit http://www.widgetbox.com/dash/dev/stu... as a non-owner.

That URL is the test widget URL from my widget dashboard.
according to 'http://docs.widgetbox.com/developers/guide/', 'Send your widget’s Widget URL to your friends or colleagues so that they can try it out, too.'

How can I ask other people to test my widget without submitting to the gallery first?

Same problem when I log in as a different user to view it.

on another note, is there a way to let people preview the widget without requiring login?

when I tried to add my app, I got the error No facebook app widget retrieved.

I did set POST-AUTHORIZE REDIRECT URL.

I am using the new facebook UI.

It was working last night. but I can't remember whether I was using the new facebook UI or not.
