Dave,
Hello. Ok, thanks for the information. I checked this morning, and the widgets are appearing again. Just wanted to make sure it wasn't me :-)
FYI - the link you posted above doesn't work. It just takes you to a javascript file (main.js) that my browser tries to download. When I try running it, I get an error.

Is there a problem with the widgetbox network blidgets?I noticed today that the network blidget ("Travel") that I display on my web site is no longer appearing. I also noticed that the widgets I created for some of my feeds are no longer appearing either (either on my own web site or within widgetbox). The only thing that has changed on my own web site are new posts. But, since the network widget is not appearing either, is this a problem on the widgetbox side? Do you guys have any known issues at the moment? Thanks.
Jason replied on June 26, 2009 11:57 to the question "When I view my profile, I see posts that don't match my feed URL." in Widgetbox:
Can you tell me how to find my member profile in the admin area? I clicked on "My Account" in the header and then tried to click the "Profile" button, but that button doesn't do anything. I've tried this with 2 different browsers already and nothing happens when I click that button. Unless, I'm in the wrong area?
So, basically, what you are saying is that even if the admin area has the feed pointing to my vacation category, it won't matter because the "link" element doesn't match. Is that correct? If so, would I be correct in saying that the only purpose of those settings in the bliget area is to control what actually appears in the blidget? And my profile in the admin area controls what people see in the network postings?
If I am unable to correct this, will this affect my raking in the Travel network? I assume the ranking deals with the relveancy of the postings.
Thanks.

A comment on the question "When I view my profile, I see posts that don't match my feed URL." in Widgetbox:
That is very odd, because that is not what I see. I certainly didn't create a new membership. How can my blidget possibly be showing the correct vacation entries then? The blidget is correct, but the posts directly in the network channel are wrong. Here is where I configured the settings. I went to "Edit my Blidget-->Edit Widget". I then clicked the "more options" link in the "Customize Content" section. The feed URL is currently set to "http://garretts-attic.net/blog/category/vacation-ideas/feed" which is correct. I then checked the "Blog / Site" URL right above the "Customize Content" section and it is also set to "http://garretts-attic.net/blog/category/vacation-ideas/". So, I'm not sure where you are seeing these values. Can you guide me to these?
Also, I thought that the "link" element in the feed was only used by widgetbox to validate that the network widget is installed on my web site? If it is also using it to show the feeds, what is the purpose of the feed URL in my profile? The "link" element in all of my feeds is currently set to "http://garretts-attic.net/blog" by default and I'm not sure if I have the ability to change this. – Jason, on June 25, 2009 19:42

When I view my profile, I see posts that don't match my feed URL.I'm having a problem with my new blidget. I finally got it up and running last week, but I see posts in my "profile" area that don't match the feed. My blog covers several topics. I wanted my blidget to focus on just the travel aspect of my blog (I'm in the "Travel" network). So, I put the correct feed URL into my blidget - the feed is like this: http://www.mysite.com/blog/category/v.... Because the "link" element of my feed says "http://www.mysite.com/blog", I had to put the network widget on my home page. However, when I navigate to "view my profile" on your site, I noticed that it is picking up all posts for the entire blog, not just the "vacation" category. However, my feed URL is correct and when I view the contents in the blidget, those are correct as well. Why is my "profile" section picking up the extra entries? Is this going to affect my ranking in this network if they have nothing to do with travel? Thanks.

Unable to click links in my blog when using network widgetHello. I'm attempting to install the code for the network widget into my blog. I've noticed that when I scroll down to see it (in either IE or Firefox), as soon as the "Get Widget" tab appears at the bottom, the entire widget immediately refreshes itself and completely disables all the links in the navigation of my blog where I put the widget (can't click on my links anymore). Until that "Get Widget" appears on the screen, everything is fine. Afterwards, only the widget remains clickable. Are there any known issues regarding this? I can't use the widget if it is going to affect my site in this way. Thanks.

I use Wordpress for my blog and it automatically creates feeds for each category and post on the site. So, basically you are saying that setting the blidget's feed URL to the category on my site (by suffixing "/feed" onto the URL) is not enough, correct? I actually have to find the "Link" element in the feed and change it to the category's URL, even though the URL for the feed is already targeting the category? I know the feed brings up the correct content because I see this in the blidget. After making a quick change, right now my blog URL is "http://garretts-attic.net/blog/category/vacation-ideas/" and my feed is "http://garretts-attic.net/blog/category/vacation-ideas/feed". If I change my "link" in the feed to point to the blog URL above, then it should work? I'm not familiar with how to change this in Wordpress, so I'll have to dig around a bit :-)
Thanks for being patient with all of these questions!

I noticed, with the new error message I'm getting, that the blog URL you set up is "<my>/wordpress/". Can you please change this to "/blog/"? I changed that just this morning and would rather use that URL ("wordpress" just redirects to "blog" anyway, but I'd rather start with the correct one). I assume I don't have access to change this myself in the "admin area of the site"?
Also, if this needs to be on my home page, is there a way to make the network widget appear smaller? I don't have much real-estate on the home page and the default widget is quite large (tall). Thanks.</my>

still isn't working. Where did you make this change exactly? I'm looking at the blog and feed URL in my blidget on your web site and everything appears to be the same. Unless there is another area I'm unaware of?
I'm getting a different message now. It says "The blog does not contain the widget code". The network widget is on the "/vacation-ideas/" page/URL. Do I need to move this to the home page of the blog. I was trying to set up this blidget to hit a particular category of topics. Will this work?

Unable to verify the Network widget on my blog. What do I do to fix this? The widget network can't seem to verify the widget on my blog. I've already tried making sure both the URL and feed were the same and I've also tried them different. I can see the contents of my site in the blidget directly from widgetbox, but whenever I go to the travel channel to complete the final set (to click the button that says "OK, the widget is on my blog", I keep getting the verification error that says "The feed provided could not be read. Please try again later." Do I need to register my feed anywhere else?
