The YouTube widget is a terrific idea, however, it misses the point right now. No doubt, the widget was first designed BEFORE YouTube completely changed its channel designs.

YouTube recently imposed a new channel design on everybody, like it or not, which totally ELIMINATES all power of the YouTube channel owner to CHOOSE which videos to display in what order. The only thing they now show at your channel is Friends and Subscribers.

I know a lot of people who put years of work into their Channels and are really ticked off (including me) that our videos now count for nothing, and cannot be organized BY US THE WAY WE WANT THEM.

I recently tried a video gallery widget at http://www.panjea.com/ -- the widget looks great, but it doesn't work. It just goes dead, no matter what browser you use, or how you display it, and Panjea didn't even answer me when I wrote to them.

I sent Panjea to a friend who has a Youtube channel, and he was excited, because he's mad he can't organize his videos at YouTube any more. Panjea wouldn't work for him, either.

I would therefore like to suggest that you create a NEW PAIR of YouTube widgets: Vertical and Horizontal, with the power to ADD VIDEOS by LINK, so we could consciously create our own gallery content. This would really help to make up for the MESS created for us by the YouTube channel "upgrade" -- which is really a big downgrade.

In addition, please do a similar widget for MYSPACE videos. Myspace is more accommodating than Youtube, the video length is longer, file size is larger, it's much more flexible that way. However, again, NO ABILITY TO ORGANIZE your videos into a gallery along theme or subject matter.

Widgetbox could fill that gap for us by giving us real video gallery widgets where WE designate the individual videos to be displayed, and the playlist order.

ALSO, please allow STAR RATINGS of the videos directly on the video gallery widgets. Ideal would be if the ratings AND even comments, could be integrated to YouTube and to MySpace so they can be made on the widget, but show up on your channel.
